What is blog?

In 1997, Jorn Barger is the first users and creator of weblogs. In 1998 there were just a handful of sites of the type that are now identified as weblogs (so named by Jorn Barger in December 1997) (Blood, 2000). For now, weblogs is becoming a diary for people to share about their daily life, a discussion station, or a market to create business.

What’s the size of current blogosphere?

Since 2004, Technorati is a website known generally to state out the rate, and analyzing the trend of Blogosphere every year. In that study shows that, the rate of the Blogosphere had growth every year.

According to Technorati 2009, based on the survey demonstrates shows, the growth of the rate in blogosphere is influencing the way information from business to goes well in communities. Every year, during the time of revolutions and elections were organized by blogs, the strongest and the highest rate of the Blogosphere, bloggers are blogging more than ever.

Technorati 2007 is tracking over 70 million weblogs, about 120,000 new weblogs being created worldwide each day and it has about 1.4 blogs created every second of every day.

As we all know, the size of the blogosphere will only increase in everyday, the chance to get down the rate are barely.

What’s the trend in eg. Europe, Asia & Malaysia?

There are so many different kind of social networking around us, for example: the most popular social networking which people like to log in in every time and every second - facebook, twitter and many others, because of this, it may affect the size of blogoshpere. Based on (Technorati 2009), the entire blogosphere, with a focus on professional bloggers that founded is:

• Professional blogging activities
• Brands in the blogosphere
• Monetization
• Twitter & micro-blogging

What types of blogs are prevalent in certain countries?

According to Pew Internet, in UK, the majority of the bloggers like to describe about their life and experiences as their primary topic, but in the topics of politics and government are came in second. While in Malaysia, according to Press Microsoft Malaysia 2006 said that, entertainment and social connection is the reasons to make them blog, (63%) for entertainment, and 49% for a connection with their friend and family. In India, majority of online users reading blogs to stay informed about world events. The most they enjoy to read is about technology (Dikshit 2006).

What are the benefits of those prevalent blogs (as above) to the community, eg. benefits of political/ social blogs in Iranian or Malaysian context?

Why political and social blogs brings benefits to Malaysian? It’s giving us a chance to voice out our opinion and what citizen need to against the government with a simple speech and comment (human rights). Besides that, government can more understanding about human rights easily, so that, it is a win- win situation for us to create a blog.

2nd post- Document Design

The document design is a combination of words and images to attain the specific goal of understanding from audience. For examples, it can be pamphlets, posters and others that incorporate words and pictures.


Mostly, most of the organizations need to create documents with discuss on their opinion, and a good suggestion (John Wiley and Sons, 1997).

Besides that, a good power point presentation is important for brings an effectiveness of message delivery too, because it can bring a clearly information by using the words with short form and images. The most important is how presenter bring a clearly information by effectiveness way and with a good power point slide.

Based on Zane L Marquez , 2010, & Wendy Russell said that, to make a good PowerPoint presentation, you have to:

• Use the key point about your topic

• Slide layout- make a slide that easy to read and follow, remember put a clear title on each slide and make sure the words and background are clear for audience, so that your audience does not get difficultly to read.
• Limit the number of slide, people will get bored or tiring when reading too many slides on your presentation.
• Put some graphic or images to grab the attention.
• Speak and explain clearly about your topic.
• Give opportunity to ask

For the design of my group’s reading summary presentation slides, we have to improve on sharing our opinion to the audience, because our idea is important to support on our discussion. Besides that, we lack of graphic and images on our slide. As we know, images are the best way to grab and attract the interest of the audience.

In addition, the style of the words and our explanation are not suitable for a good presentation slide, Reep (2006, pg. 154) indicates that written cues help readers find specific information quickly. Lastly, the way we put the title are totally wrong, because title is an important starting point for audience to start their reading on a document, so , we have to make sure the title is put on the top of the slide.

1st post- The purpose of my blog post

   I believe new technology is approaching people's life nowsaday. For example, people would like to source everything from internet by everyday. By way of, i exploit blogs as a information transcript to share the information for everyone.


Purpose

This blog post is going to discuss everything about internet and some document design. As a communication students, especially for journalist, we have to clearly understand about the media issues to avoid any mistake or crime crisis in internet or media and how to make an interesting publishing to grab the attention of readers.  Here, I will like to share more about the knowledge of issues and publishing.

Target Audience

The main target audience for this blog post is for students in college or university, especially for communication students,becuase they have more chance to connect with the media. The second audience will be the people who get interest on the media deeply and internet users, such as blogger, social networking users and etc.
